Lost Of The English Rose

March 11 2006 by Angus McLeod

August 31, 1997 will be a date that will forever be embedded into many of our lives, as the world seemed to briefly hold its breath, while a rose slipped from our grip. Yet, with the examination of this shocking car crash, which took the English Rose from our midst, more questions than answers have appeared.

Now, once again a few Elitists have attempted to rewrite history and would want everyone to believe in an official line of Propaganda and misinformation, which has been used to cover-up their ways of War and destruction. As indicated in articled titled “British newspaper Interim report says death of Princess of Wales accidental,” this is only further example of overlooking the facts of the situation that existed behind the horrific and untimely death of our precious late Princess Diana, the English Rose. In one section of the article stated “French officials have said all traffic cameras on the road that Diana’s car took, and within the tunnel, were not working the night of the crash.” The article went on to say, “ But Monday’s Daily Express newspaper challenged that finding, saying a woman was caught speeding by a camera in the Pont d’Alma tunnel moments before Diana’s car crash.” http://news.yahoo.com/s/cpress/20060306/ca_pr_on_wo/diana_investigation Already this official report from Britain, on Diana’s alleged accidental death, has been proven to have holes within it.

Almost immediately, the focus should have been on what individuals or groups would have benefit the most of having Diana silence and the obvious continuation of the cover-up still in existence to this very day? Remember, before Diana death, she was heavily involved with charities for the less fortunate and the banning of land mines.
In 1997, an International treaty was signed by “122 nations” in Ottawa Canada to ban land mines (which has now risen to 154 nations with 148 countries ratifying it as of February 7, 2006. http://www.hillconnections.org/ja/landmines9fb.htm ) However, some of the major nations that have not signed this agreement are Russia, USA, China, Iran, Israel, North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam, Egypt, Libya, Turkey, Pakistan, and India.

With the above in mind, certain leaders in the USA still to this day refuse to sign this landmine treaty; instead a few leaders in this nation have offered a different treaty that would not ban self destructing land mines allegedly “Smart land mines” (land mines that exploded after a period of time) and just ban the old style non-destructive land mines (these types of mines the USA has not used in decades and can remain active buried in ground for years, waiting to exploded at any moment.)

Yet, this new proposal by the a few USA leaders is anything but safe. Already serious questions have been raised by a Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. DeWitt C. Smith in an article he wrote called, “Op-Ed: Bush Land Mine Policy Outdated, Dangerous,” which can be found at http://www.banminesusa.org/news/921_times.htm#defense

Quoting a section from this above article: “Though labeled “smart,” these mines cannot discriminate between the foot of a soldier and that of a child or between friend and foe. They tend to be scattered by air, making them difficult to mark and map; they pose tremendous challenges and costs for demining teams; and they threaten the lives and limbs of U.S. troops and innocent civilians.”

Now taking into consideration recent reports, which pointed to the possibly that Henri Paul (the driver of the vehicle that Diana died in) may have been a French informant, and the fact that USA intelligence may have been following Diana, the secrecy of the old cloak and dagger used by the spying network of long ago begins to thinly shine through. This may explain why it lead to a world, where the blood stained money that was/is still being made off of the production of weapons of War knows no nationality or allegiances. As this money keeps on flowing through the network of hands of families and Regencies, who have manipulated our history, whenever the events of the world were not filling their pocketbooks with money and power.

Momentarily changing gears and briefly looking into the events of 9/11, the War in Iraq, and the possible future War in Iran, we are once again in a Media Propaganda feed of old. For take a look in the mirror of time, all the way back to the events that led up to the Christian crusades of old, where the young men were sent off to fight for what they thought was their God, their Nation and their Kings. Turning to modern times, what truly is the difference, and how can we still permit ourselves to be blinded by the Fanatical Propaganda of old, as we are once again in a War against “Tyranny, terror, and fighting for freedom? But like in every War, whose freedom are we truly fighting for? And who are the real oppressors?

Presently, the nations producing land mines have dropped from “54 to 14”, and there have been over “52 million antipersonnel land mines” destroyed throughout nations that have signed the landmine banning Treaty. Still there are on average “15,000-20,000 casualties per year caused by land mines (down from over 26,000)”. http://www.banminesusa.org/news/928_bush.htm

In addition, the world that was witnessing the elimination of all land mines, as Diana had dreamed of, may soon be coming to an end, as “the U.S. appears well on the way to resuming production of antipersonnel mines.” Also, there have been “reports that the U.S. use of antipersonnel land mines may already have occurred or be occurring now.” The importance of this is that if any of the “145 parties to the Ottawa Convention are also forbidden to assist others in acts that are prohibited by the treaty.” This means that if any nation, with its signature on this treaty has been directly or indirectly involved with these modern land mines, this nation in question could be at “risk of breaching the treaty in joint military operations where antipersonnel land mines are being used.” http://www.voiceoffreedom.com/archives/pentagon/landmines.html

In our lives we can still stand for the positive change that Diana was trying to bring about, as we continue to use our pens and voices. While we dig deeper for the truth and do not let the War Machine have an unopposed pathway to world domination, where this group of fanatics from throughout time wish to return the world back to condition that existed prior to the creation of the Magna Carta. Yet as long as a few are like beckons of light in the night, shining for others to see, then this force of darkness will continue to be prevented from achieving their goals of turning the masses into robots and slaves.

So as we look into the possibility that the War Machine was another piece behind the death of Diana, lets keep her message of hope and peace in front of all of us. God Bless you Diana for the time that you gave us, which has enable many in society to see our pathway and hopefully correct it to the positive before it is too late.

Illusion Of War

March 7th 2006 by Angus McLeod

What has the world truly learned since P.F. Sloan wrote the song, “Eve Of Destruction” that Barry McGuire had performed, and it was a billboard hit in 1965?

Looking into our times, a few Political Extremists from the Corporate War Machine have been beating their chests, while this group of Warmonger appears to be planning to carryout Military action against another Middle Eastern Nation, Iran.

Quoting a few words from “Eve of Destruction”:

“The eastern world it is exploding.
violence flaring,
bullets loading..
you’re old enough to kill
but not for voting.
You don’t believe in War-
but what’s that gun you’re toting?
And even the Jorden river has bodies floating.
But ya tell me over & over & over again, my friend,
ah, you don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction.
(click here for lyrics of this song)

Just the first few verses of this song have such a strong message. Yet, now we are on the verge of a new time, where blood from innocent people and soldiers from our generation may be further spilled, if the ideas of peace cannot be reached. But, we all should question, for what…Oil…Modern Day Crusade…Possible smoke screen…revenge for the black eye the Political Extremist received over the Iran-Contra Scandal…or is it freedom like a few from the War Machine wish to tell the world? Hasn’t enough blood already been spilled in our times?

Haven’t enough young soldier already been lost in Nations that are so far from their homes? Why hasn’t there been a National Referendum taken to the people, who would decide by their vote whether to continue to send troops to Afghanistan, Iraq, and possibly Iran? Under the ideas of Democracy, only the people should be permitted to rule the nation, not the select.

Before answering these points, first let’s remember, what Al Gore the Former VP of the United States was quote as saying in an article called “Gore cautions Canadians,” written by Katherine Monk and published January 26, 2006.

In this article, Gore was quoted as saying, “The election in Canada was partly about the tar sands projects in Alberta,” said Gore. “And the financial interests behind the tar sands project poured a lot of money and support behind an ultra-conservative leader in order to win the election … and to protect their interests.”
www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php/20060131003149749

Also, at the same time, turning our attention to a CBS 60 Minutes piece on the Oil Sands project out of Alberta. Quoting sections of this piece:

“There are 175 billion barrels of proven oil reserves here. That’s second to Saudi Arabia’s 260 billion but it’s only what companies can get with today’s technology….the total estimates could be two trillion or even higher,”… The oil sands are buried under forests in Alberta that are the size of Florida.”
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/01/20/60minutes/main1225184.shtml

Image for a brief moment, the ecological effects that the destruction of a forest in Alberta the size of Florida would have not only upon the wildlife and environment within this province; but also throughout all of Canada. Why hasn’t there been uproar by the environmentalists and people?

Yet, the Political Extremists have been able to turned the masses’ eyes away from the effects that the Oil Sands in Alberta would caused, as this political group of Warmongers first created an illusion of a War, then pass laws which do not permit the people to stand up for their basic rights.

While all of this is happening, anyone who attempts to appose the War, or protest to protect the environment for future generations would be classified as unpatriotic and against democracy, isn’t that a perfect example of “Do what I say, not what I do?”

So with the record profits recently being posted by the Oil Companies in 2006, and the half truth that have been shown by some Western Leaders. Why aren’t we looking into the mirrors and seeing, that War only begets War?

“Could one of the main underlining reasons behind this War possibly be that it may be a modern day Crusade, which was met to be use as a weapon to wipe out one Organized Religion, at a time? Also, with the War on Terrorism, I fully admit that there are terrorists, however, why is the Western World only focusing on Middle Eastern, why aren’t we focusing in on the Western base Fanatics, who preach peace yet show War, who talk about freedoms, and yet they only show oppression? Why aren’t these people being arrested as terrorists? If these people continue to be allowed to get away with their injustices, the only purpose for the anti-terrorist’s laws seem to be to oppress the ordinary people’s rights, which in itself is a direct terrorist attack against the people.”

In closing, I leave people with a poem I wrote in 1999, which was called “O Why O Why.”

O Why O Why
The banging from the weapons echoed in the valley
The smell of gunpowder consumed the air
People were dying all around
Crying could be heard from everywhere
Looking down I see a man
Looking closer, I see that it was I
O why O why did I have to die?
For this War made no sense in our minds or in our souls
Disputes between leaders was its cause
Now I lay on the ground
Too young I am to lose my life
All the experiences that I have had, have been too few
O why O why did I have to die?
For no mark I have left on this earth
Dying in this War so far from home
My life has now finished
And no longer will I be able to see my home
Or smell the flowers that grow in the fields
Now my unborn children will cry themselves to sleep
And lost loves will now be with a stranger
For never will I been able to hear the sweet breathe of the ones I love
Or feel the soft touch of a kiss
So no longer will the sound of the ocean be able to echo in my ears
Or will my eyes be full of the beauty that come from the world
But I wonder if we have learned anything from this War
Or does another innocent person have to die so far from home
In a needless fight
From a cause that makes no sense
CC 1999

From 1986 to 1995, I served in the Canadian Military, with one United Nations tour over to Iran in 1988, where I witnessed first hand how destructive that War had been to a nation’s landscape and it’s people. From this experience, I learned that there is no glory in War. There is only the needless suffering of the innocent people and the young soldiers, who in some case are forever lost in a land that is so far from their homes.
