Angus McLeod's (Reginald Angus Argue's)
military service

positive chagnes comes from those who are willing to standing in a middle of political hurricance. All in an effort to protect others basic rights and freedoms.Angus McLeod (birth name of Reginald Angus Argue) served from 1986 to 1995, in the Canadian Armed forces (DND). During these years, Angus served in the Communication branch of the Army, as a Radio Operator. While this writer was serving his government in the Canadian Armed Forces (DND), he traveled extensively throughout Canada, from Coast to Coast, including up to the Northern part of the Northwest Territories, where he did a winter exercise, for the duration of two weeks, as a Radio Operator. In 1988, Angus McLeod (birth name of Reginald Angus Argue) served in an United Nations tour while still in the Canadian Armed Forces (DND), where he traveled to the Middle East. During his time in Iran, Angus provided Radio operator communication for the United Nations; just a few weeks after the war had ended between Iran and Iraq. (While traveling to Iran, and his United Nation tour, Angus had a stop over in Turkey for two days. Then, on the way back from Iran, the group he was with stopped over briefly, in the Moscow airport in Russia. Where from the air this author was able to take in the sight of this massive city, as its trees which were on the outskirts had appear to turn brown and were preparing for another harsh winter's sleep.)

Throughout the over eight and half years of Angus McLeod's (Reginald Angus Argue's) service in the Canadian Armed Forces (DND), he was able to experience numerous different cultures and people, which helped him later on in his writings. One of these incidences happened, while Angus was over in Iran in 1988, where he was able to witness first hand how oppressive certain governments could be to their own people, all in the name of power. Angus swore to himself that if Canada was to ever to reach this situation, which was happening in Iran, where a select few were dictating to the rest of the Country how things will happen. At that moment, he would stand up for people’s rights under the Canadian Constitution. This is why, Angus (birth name of Reginald Angus Argue) continues to use his pen and paper to point out the shortcomings in his home Nation, all in the basic ideas of democracy, where the people are the only ones who rule the Nation. For, only the people’s voices should dictate what direction a Nation should be led, not a select few.

In 1995, Angus left the Army, with an honorable discharge and started to write poetry. From there Angus went on to write novels and few articles in different web sites. Following are a few incidences, in which peculiar events that have happened in Angus McLeod's (Reginald Angus Argue's) and his wife’s lives, seem to point directly to a select few people who did not like what “2004 Daemon’s Revenge” had to say.

Military Pension

In 1997 Angus received a military medical pension from the Canadian Armed Forces (DND), which was related to knee injuries that he suffered while in service in the Army. This pension was supposed to be deposited into his bank account once a month for the rest of his life, but in the end of June 2000, his military medical pension was cut off. Angus and his wife went down to the Veteran Affairs Office in Calgary Alberta, Canada, where both of them were informed that Veteran Affairs did not have Angus McLeod's’ (Reginald Angus Argue's) mailing address. However, on September 23rd 1998, the Pension Advocate at this Veteran affairs Office in Calgary office was fighting to have Angus' military medical pension increased. This Pension Advocate, who was fighting for Angus had his address from 1997 to the end of 1998. In addition, this address that this person had was the same address, where Angus and his wife had lived at from September 1997 right up to March 1st of 2001. So, how was it, that the Veteran Affairs Office was able to misplace Angus' (Reginald Angus Argue's) address and say that they did not have it?

Mustang Destroyed in Calgary Alberta Canada

On March 9th of 2000, an elderly homeless lady stated that the Organization Angus had written about “will win”. It was an unusual statement. This was a fictional Organization that Angus had written of, what he had envisioned when he closed his eyes and brought his pen to paper. Still, this lady was trying to tell Angus that his novel and the visions that he witnessed when he wrote this novel were actually non-fictional. Not for a moment, did Angus actually believe a word that this elderly homeless lady was saying, because on more than one occasion, this lady was talking to herself when there was no one else in the room with her. In addition, this lady appeared to be homeless and living out of her truck with no family or friends to help her. Angus and his wife opened their hearts and allowed this lady to stay with them for a few days, so that she could have a place to have a hot shower and home cooked meals. However, in the late afternoon of March 10th 2000, this lady left Angus’ house with no explanation.

Even after Angus’ 1982 limited Edition Mustang had been destroyed in front of his house March 10th of 2000 at 11:30 pm, by a hit and run. He still questioned if this Organization actually existed. However, once Angus started to see the gaps in the information from what the witness had given the police in reference to the incidence, and what the police had turned up about the type of vehicle. Then, the fact that the license plates numbers given by the witness, were found on a different vehicle, all of this caused questions to arise in Angus’ mind. To Angus’ knowledge, not at any time has the police been able to find the person or persons, who were responsible for doing this crime.

Attempted Assassination (Attempted Murder) in Calgary Alberta Canada

On October 24th 2000, while Angus McLeod (birth name of Reginald Angus Argue) and his wife were walking along a sidewalk, minding their own business. Suddenly a vehicle pulled out from a gas station and tried to push Angus and his wife out into the street. This vehicle hit Angus twice, before he was able to move from the front of the vehicle, up to the front driver’s side window, pounding on the hood of the vehicle three times as he headed to the front driver side of this vehicle, while this vehicle was still revving it's engine and trying to go forward. This in itself is an indication beyond believe that this driver had attempted assassination of both Angus McLeod and his Wife. For if a vehicle hits you once it is an accident, if it hits you a second time it is attempted murder.

Once Angus had reached next to the driver’s side window, the driver of this vehicle stopped all at once. While all of this was happening, Angus'’ wife was still trapped in front of the vehicle and this driver was trying to push her out into the street, as he attempted to murder her. To Angus' knowledge this driver has not been charged with attempted murder, attempted assassination or any other crimes. On the Police Report, it stated that the driver hit Angus McLeod and his wife once. However, the evidence within the medical reports within the denial of basic rights link indicate that Angus and his wife were hit more than once by this vehicle.

The police officer, who took the statements arrived at the scene over an hour after this incident had taken place. The witnesses who saw this accident were unable to stay that long; instead these witnesses gave this writer and his wife their phone numbers. These witness told Angus that "Why didn't you hit the driver, I would have killed him for hitting me, if I were you." However, Angus never laid a finger on this driver and he told these witnesses "what would it prove." For Angus is 6'4 well over 270 pounds at that time and a former member of the military, who did not believe in physically hurting people.

Once the Police officer arrived, he did not ask if there were any witnesses. In addition, when Angus and his wife went to see their first lawyer shortly after this accident, they handed their first lawyer the names and phone numbers of the witnesses, who had seen the accident. Again to Angus' knowledge these people have not been contacted.

The night of the accident, Angus McLeod (Reginald Angus Argue) and his wife did not go to the hospital. Both of them were in shock of being hit and could not afford the over $300 bill, which an ambulance would have charged to take them to the hospital. In addition, because of how late it was once the police reports were finally taken, it was past 9 pm and the hospital was across town. So, both Angus and his wife took the bus home. The next day, both Angus and his wife went to the emergency room at Peter Lougheed hospital. To find out further about this incident, go to Denial of Basic human rights link (click here).
